Strange Captain Paul
I focused on the paper that Sunny is pointing
at. “This… piece… of… paper… just… flew… into… our… room… and… pasted… onto…
the… wall… all… by… it… self… just… now. I… have… no… idea… about… where… it…
comes… from. But… it… is… said… that… it’s… from… the… headquarter, Nanjing.”
Sunny says. And the words on the paper is: “
To all the astronauts on the Prospect:
Here are some new laws for you after the
accident happened.
1.
All the
astronauts must go to their sleeping bags before GMT 21:00.
2.
All the
astronauts must tell your dearest captain Paul before you’re
going out through your interphones.
3.
All the astronauts
must not go to your captain’s office without advance
reservation.
…
2749. All
the astronauts must spend their time outside the public room less than 1
hour a day.

”
“How long did you spend reading this long
article?” I ask Sunny after have read about half an hour. “About… five… hours,
I… think…” he answered. “Paul’s really strange these days. I have to chat with
him for a moment.” I say as I rush towards the door. “Watch… out!” Sunny says.
But it’s too late. My left foot has already been out of the door and the alarms
of the whole spaceship start shouting. Suddenly, a weak and numb feeling comes
towards me from my left foot, and the whole world becomes quiet and dark.
As I finally woke up with a bad headache, I
find myself on a big stage in the center of the spaceship. The one who is
standing beside me is Paul. He says to the crowd of astronauts: “Look at…” “Who
are you? Be quick!” he asks me quietly suddenly. “Don’t you remember? I’m Vincent
from China.” I answered. “Oh, that’s right. Vincent. Look at him. If any one of
you break the law, you’ll be disposed just like him. Vincent, come to my
office. And rest of you, go back to your rooms!” he continued.
As I enter his office, his suddenly rushed to
the table and hid something by a piece of cloth. “Why are you so strange these
days? And what happened to you in your office yesterday?” I ask anxiously.
“Well, all of you well know that.” he answers
with a sinister smile. “And I’ll off you go this time. Never do this sort of
things again.” He says and pushes me out of his office.
