An
Accident
“There’s… a… big… washroom… which… can… hold…
twenty… people… and… there’s… a… huge… gym… and…” Sunny is still talking with
me about the spaceship. And I really want to talk him about my new discovery,
so I say: “I’m really sorry to disturb you but there’s something really
important!” “What’s… that…about?” he said slowly as usual. “The asteroids in
the asteroid belt are moving very strangely these days. I think it must have
something to do with the loss of the gravity of planets like Earth which is
because of the overly used of natural resources.” I said to Sunny seriously.
“Oh… let… me… think… for… a… moment…” replied
Sunny.
Then, ten minutes past… thirty minutes past,
and finally, an hour later, Sunny starts to talk: “What… did… you… say… just…
now…?” “My god! Come and see the asteroid belt today and you’ll know that.” I
say a bit impatiently, pointing at the telescope. “Okay…” This proves that
Sunny not only speaks slowly but also thinks slowly and behaves slowly. Another
thirty minutes past and finally he turned back and says: “Oh… that… is … bad…
and … our… spaceship… is… likely… to… crash… into… one… of… the… asteroid…
days… later!” “That’s right! Let’s remined Paul.”
On the way to the captain’s office, we meet
Emmet and tell him about this. Instead of coming with us to the office, he says
that this is impossible and will never happen in the future. He also laughs at
us and says we are a bit silly. “That’s not very kind, is it?” Sunny gets so
annoyed that he speaks faster again.
After we have arrived at the office and tell
Paul about the asteroid belt, we’re very close to it and we may hit it in about
thirty minutes. But just like Emmet, Paul doesn’t believe us at all. “Go away!
Never disturb me with these silly things that will never hap…” Before Paul
finishes his words and close the door of his office, the whole spaceship starts
shaking and a large noisy sound comes from the back of it. “Close all the doors
that used to keep oxygen! Be QUICK!” Paul shouted through the microphone. But
it is too late and half of the oxygen that originally belongs to our spaceship
is sucked into space. One of the engines of the spaceship is broken and it’s
under repairing of an engineer.
“I think that I should listen to you,” says
Paul “but it’s fortunate that we’ve stored enough oxygen and most of our
astronauts are sleeping in their sleeping bags.” I smiled proudly with Sunny
and says: “I don’t think things must be safe in the future, so please think
twice before you do something!”
We’re getting farther and farther away from
the sun and things that we are fading are coldness and darkness.
(To be continued.)
